Sri Aurobindo--Birthday 15 Aug 1872--5 Dec 1950
Aurobindo means lotus. Sri Aurobindo was born on 15 August 1872 in Kolkata( Calcutta) to Krishan Dhun Ghose and Swarnalotta Devi. He was a prominent Indian nationalist, philosopher, poet, and yogi. He is renowned for the philosophy of divine life on earth through spiritual evolution. Sri Aurobindo developed a unique spiritual practice called Integral Yoga, which seeks to integrate all aspects of human life. physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual into a unified whole. In 1926, with the help of the mother (Marra Alfassa from France), the Sri Aurobindo Ashram was founded in Puducherry (Pondicherry). He breathed his last on 5 December 1950. Keep Meditating
